Hi, sweet pals. Friday is upon us again! The world remains crazy. This week completely sped by, again. Finding little bits of calm the chaos!

Onto the good stuff…

  1. FaceTime watch-partied the Love Island USA finale with one of my long-distance best friends, which made what otherwise is a supremely boring episode so much fun. Me, her and our other amazing pal (hi Mal) have spent the season voice-noting each other our reactions to every single episode this summer, resulting in my favorite 15 minutes of the day catching up on their thoughts in our notoriously long-winded messages. Despite my Nicolandria vote (I’m a believer, I don’t care what you say), I was thrilled Amaya Papaya (and Brian) took home the crown. A beacon of hope amidst the stormy seas of this insane season. Also, technology has gotten so impressive to me. We just had FaceTime open the whole time and the echo of each other’s TVs was barely noticeable. Auto-audio mixing at its finest.

  1. Cold foam is the ultimate addition to any iced latte. Or hot latte. Or any drink, really. It is supreme. I’m pretty straight-up when it comes to my coffee order — I like a regular latte, no added syrup & no funny business — but when I hit up the Starbucks in my grocery store before shopping I was reminded I have free will and salted caramel cold foam on top of my iced latte is just right there. It was $7 for a tall (atrocious) but it was just so good. Also, drinking a tasty drink while you do your grocery shopping just feels so luxurious. Like I might even convince myself I’m on vacation or something. Reading that back I think my bar might be too low.

Below the paywall, more weekly bits including a mini trip, kitchen gadgets, interviews to watch, some goodies from our garden & more. x
