weekly bits #6
fourth wing, pups swimming, people-watching & perfect match
It’s August! I love this month. A nice name. Not the hottest. The thoughts of fall are stirring. But summer rages on…as do the bits! Shall we?
I took Leonard swimming for the first time this week — SO CUTE. My neighbor and I took our pups (sorry to Otis, who stayed home, because he has never wanted to swim despite previous desperate attempts) to a lake nearby for their very first swim. Leonard was a natural, I must say. Not the best technique, very splashy, but confident. Love to see it. Juniper, my lovely neighbor’s dog, was a little more timid but man when she went for it she was a pro. On the beach we were surrounded by groups of teenagers who were all discussing their schedules for the upcoming school year and planning the end of their summer break — so nostalgic. It makes me so happy to see the youth outside, eating Goldfish, getting sunburned.
Had my first — yes, my very first believe it or not — Crumbl cookies on Tuesday. Sam was sending some to a client through his work and couldn’t stop talking about them, so I, a very generous wife, drove the extra 20 minutes after both a Home Depot and a Costco run to get us a box. Some might call me a hero. Having assumed them to be highly overrated, they actually were really good. The Lemon Bar one was my personal fave.
Below the paywall, more bits including a nostalgic music video recommendation, my new favorite show, my current romantasy read & more.
